Primary elections were held across New York State on Tuesday to determine the players in November's general elections.
U.S. CONGRESS (DISTRICT 19 - DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY)
Julian Schreibman declared victory over Joel Tyner just after 11 p.m. Tuesday in the Democratic primary for the 19th Congressional District. Schreibman will face incumbent Rep. Chris Gibson in the general election.
Here are the latest numbers, according to the Associated Press:
426 of 653 precincts - 65%
- Julian Schreibman 4,635 - 61%
- Joel C. Tyner 2,980 - 39%
U.S. CONGRESS (DISTRICT 21 - REPUBLICAN PRIMARY)
Matthew Doheny soundly defeated Kellie Greene in the Republican primary for the 21st District Congressional Race. Doheny will now go on to face the incumbent Democrat, Rep. Bill Owens.
Following redistricting earlier this year, the new 21st District encompasses Fulton, Warren, Washington, and northern Saratoga Counties.

U.S. SENATE (REPUBLICAN PRIMARY)
Wendy Long declared victory in the three-way Republican primary to face incumbent Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in November.
Gillibrand announced Tuesday night that she had called Long to congratulate her on her primary victory.
