Fuller Road closure poses graduation frustrations

ALBANY, NY – Two local high schools expect delays during graduation ceremonies since Fuller Road in Albany will be closed from Friday through Monday.

Fuller Road will close Friday night for construction at 9:00 p.m. from I-90 Exit 2 through Washington Avenue Extension.

The road closure poses a possible problem for Shaker High School and Albany High School graduates. Both schools are holding their graduation ceremonies over the weekend on the nearby SUNY Albany Campus.

North Colonie schools are trying to alert parents to the traffic trouble through Facebook. The district posted an advisory about the road closure and asked parents to plan ahead for Saturday morning's ceremony. They advise drivers to plan accordingly and allow extra travel time.
