State of Emergency declared for the Town of Greenport

UPDATE: The State of Emergency has been lifted for the Town of Greenport.

A State of Emergency has been declared for the Town of Greenport due to extensive storm damage. Please avoid travel if possible.

Thousands of National Grid customers have been without power in Columbia County and Greene County on Friday.

The National Grid hopes to have the majority of customers back by 10:00 p.m. However some customers with isolated damaged will take longer.
