NEW PALTZ, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a 2-year-old girl found dead at a Hudson Valley home was killed by at least one blow and they're treating the case as a homicide.
They tell local media the toddler was found with a relative at their home in New Paltz by officers sent to check a report of a missing child at around noon Wednesday.
New Paltz police say Thursday an autopsy showed she died from blunt force trauma.
No other details about the nature of her injury have been released and nobody has been charged.
The child's name is being withheld until all her relatives are notified.
