GRANVILLE, N.Y. - A Queensbury man was killed in a one-care motor vehicle accident in the Town of Dresden early Thursday morning, state police say.
State Troopers at
Granville are investigating the accident that resulted in the death of 21-year-old Michael Sharkey that occurred around 1:40 a.m. Thursday on Route 22.
Sharkey was pronounced dead at the scene after the vehicle he was operating, a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, left the roadway
off the east shoulder and struck a rock ledge.
State Police were
assisted at the scene by the Dresden Fire Department, the Whitehall Fire
Department, Skenesborough EMS, and the Washington County Sheriff's Department.
