BARRE, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont police department says a deer spent 10 to 15 minutes inside a Barre convenience store after crashing through a window.
When Barre police arrive at the Cumberland Farms store on South Main Street just before noon on Tuesday they found the animal inside the building. It had smashed several displays inside the store.
Police say the deer left the store "after a little encouragement." It suffered only minor injuries and appeared OK.
