ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany police
arrested a 28-year-old Latham man early Sunday morning after he was caught with
a loaded handgun.
Police say Shamir Leflore, of Lake Shore
Drive, was arrested after officers responded to a home on North Manning
Boulevard around 1:30 a.m. The caller said he had pointed a handgun at a woman and threatened to shoot her.
When officers arrived Leflore was found walking away from the scene. He was placed into
custody after tossing a loaded .32 caliber handgun under a
car.
He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, and Menacing 2nd and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
