BENNINGTON, VT – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a
motor vehicle on Friday in Bennington.
The accident happened at 7:46 a.m. at the intersection of
Dewey and Weeks Streets.
Police say a Honda CRV traveling west on Weeks Street
entered the intersection and collided with a motorcycle travelling north on
Dewey Street.
The operator of the motorcycle was 28-year-old Gavin Briggs,
of Pownal, VT. Briggs was pronounced dead at the scene.
The operator of the motor vehicle was Lorraine Baker, of
Bennington. Baker was transported to the Medical Center for injuries sustained
in the crash.
Police are investigating the accident. No futher details are
