WORCESTER, N.Y -- A Schenectady man was arrested Tuesday in Otsego County for allegedly scheming customers from multiple states.

66-year old Frank Popolizio, the owner of South Side Dogs, South Side Farms, and South Side Stables in the Town of Worcester, is accused of stealing more than $26,000 from customers over the past five years in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and California.

Popolizio is accused of accepting payment for miniature livestock that was never delivered.

He was taken into custody Tuesday when he appeared in court on previous animal abuse charges in relation to South Side Stables.

Back in February, State Police arrested Popolizio and the manager of the stables. They were both charged with numerous counts of animal cruelty.
