Man dead after single-vehicle accident

MINDEN, N.Y. - Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office say one man died after a single-vehicle accident occurred in the town of Minden last Friday, June 1.

Officers say they reported to a vehicle fire on State Highway 80 around 11:15 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado, which had been involved in a single car motor vehicle accident and caught fire due to the crash.

Deputies found the victim, 43-year-old Todd Oldick, of Fort Plain, inside the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
