Man arraigned in weekend North Adams stabbing

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- A North Adams man was arraigned Monday in connection with a weekend stabbing.

A judge ordered 25-year old Mario R. Babbs held at the Berkshire County House of Correction without bail, pending a dangerousness hearing this Friday.

Babbs is accused of stabbing a 27-year old North Adams man in the city, on Saturday.

The man was taken to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield and is being treated for multiple stab wounds.
