Jackson Baldwin
JOHNSTOWN, N.Y. -- It's a story we have been following for several months now, and NEWS10 learned Friday that 8-month old Jackson Baldwin of Johnstown and his family have begun the journey to the hospital where he will have a possibly life-saving bone marrow transplant.
Jackson, or Jax, has a disease which makes his skin blister and fall off at the slightest touch.
After long negotiations with the State of Minnesota and Medicaid, little Jax was finally approved for a $150,000 bone marrow transplant - but his family is still struggling to pay travel costs.
Little Jax's surgery is scheduled for later this month.
