ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - A trail linking the scenic spots that inspired some of America's great landscape painters is expanding in New York and including spots in three other states.
The Hudson River School Art Trail celebrates the locations where artists like Thomas Cole and Frederic Church created striking images of the lakes, mountains and waterfalls of the wilderness around the great river.
There currently are eight sites along the Hudson. Nine more are being added in New York, plus two in New Hampshire, one in Massachusetts and two in Wyoming.
A listing of all 22 sites and visitors' information will be available on the new website: http://www.thomascole.org/trail
