ALBANY, NY – Gas prices continue to decline nationwide.
Experts originally predicted five dollars per gallon of gas this summer, and
that may not come true now.
The national average for gas is $3.68 per gallon. In Albany, gas prices
range from $3.80 to $3.92 a gallon. In Pittsfield, MA and Bennington, VT drivers
are paying around the national average from $3.67 to $3.80.
With Memorial Day weekend nearing, many Americans will be driving. AAA
expects that nearly 35 million Americans, or nine out of 10 Americans, will travel
from home by car for the holiday weekend. That is an increase of 1.2 % from
2011.
Experts now say that gas prices should stay steady through the summer.
