
BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont state police have arrested five people on charges of possessing and distributing cocaine following a routine traffic stop in Bennington.
Police said they saw drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle late Monday. A search found powder cocaine.
They arrested a man and woman in the car. That led to a search at a home in Bennington and three more arrests. Items seized including cocaine, crack-cocaine, a shotgun and several thousand dollars in cash.
Those arrested range in age from 19 to 27. Three were held for lack of $100,000 cash bail and are being arraigned Wednesday.
