SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Stewart's at Franklin and Nott Terrace in Schenectady shut down briefly Thursday morning after a car crashed into the side of the building.
Officials on the scene say the female driver of the car hit the gas when she thought she was hitting the brake. The driver, as well as one person inside the store, was taken to the hospital after the crash with minor injuries.
Initially, code enforcement had concerns the building was structurally unsound. However, the fire department on the scene boarded up the side of the building and says the store is okay to re-open.
