SCHENECTADY, NY –A World Wrestling Entertainment star "The Miz" spoke to Schenectady students on Friday about bullying.
"The Miz" spoke at Woodlawn Elementary School before a wrestling match in Glens Falls to promote WWE's program Don't Be a Bully, Be a STAR.
The former MTV Real World star Mike Mizanin, also known as "The Miz", is a WWE champion. Although he fights in wrestling matches, he wanted to make sure students at Woodlawn Elementary School are kind to one another.
Mizanin says he was bullied as a child. He told students to never laugh at bullies and to show tolerance and respect. He advised students to find a way to say nice things and not bad.
Students seemed to take Mizanin's message to heart while they learned a positive message despite the violent ones depicted on television.
