
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Two more defendants have pleaded guilty in connection with the fatal stabbing of a former high school basketball star in a Pittsfield fast food restaurant parking lot two years ago.
The Berkshire Eagle reports that John Spratling pleaded guilty Wednesday to assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in connection with the March 2010 death of 26-year-old Jahda Martin.
He was sentenced to up to six years in prison.
Casey Ivery pleaded guilty as an accessory. She was sentenced to 18 months in jail.
Spratling and Ivery were the second and third people to plead guilty in the case. Two more await trial.
Martin, a former star at Lee High School who went on to play at a Division I college, was attacked after leaving a nearby club.
