BENNINGTON, VT - On Monday Bennington state workers returned to work in a permanent building after the "sick building" was demolished.
The building that houses courts and state attorney offices was closed in March 2008 after workers became sick. A total of 135 employees were sickened by a rare lung disease.
The Vermont State Office complex officially reopened its doors on Monday.
A $17 million project demolished and rebuilt part of the building to make it safe.
