RUTLAND, VT - A Watervliet drug ring member was sentenced to imprisonment on Wednesday.
Daniel Lugo, 26, was sentenced to 13 years for conspiracy to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine. He will also serve a five year term of supervised release after his incarceration.
Lugo was part of a Schenectady drug distribution ring. The group supplied more than 50 kg of cocaine and 2,000 pounds of marijuana to a Rutland drug distribution ring from early 2006 to summer 2009.
Lugo and the group also distributed cocaine in the Albany and Schenectady areas. About 22 other drug ring members were charged in a series of indictments and convicted as members of the conspiracy.
