Great Barrington named "Best Small Town in America"

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. - A big recognition for a small town.

Great Barrington, Massachusettes has been named the number one best town in America by the Smithsonian magazine.

The May 2012 issue highlights the "20 Best Small Towns in America" and the Berkshire County town, population 6,800, made the top of the list. Great Barrington is described by Smithsonian as "Big-city smarts meets New England natural in an art-rich mountain setting."
