POWNAL, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a 13-year-old Pownal boy was shot in the leg with a BB gun by another teenager in Pownal.
On Friday police were called to the Alta Gardens mobile home park and found the boy with a BB-sized hole in the back of his leg.
The victim told police he's been shot by a 16-year-old youth earlier in the day.
Police say the older boy told Trooper Travis Hess he had been shooting at another target and the BB ricocheted and hit the victim.
The Bennington Banner says witnesses told Hess the shooting was not accidental.
The 16-year-old was ordered to appear in court at a later date. Police did not release the names of the alleged shooter or the victim.
