SAINT JOHNSVILLE, N.Y. - A 62-year-old man was arrested by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office last week for an alleged stalking incident at Dollar General in the town of Saint Johnsville.
Officers say it was there that Leonard Lincata, of Little Falls, had approached a 12-year-old female and asked her if she were 18, then supposedly went on to tell her he had trouble picking up women.
The young girl's grandmother had witnessed the incident which had made her granddaughter uncomfortable and asked Lincata to leave them alone. However, officers say he continued to follow the two around the store.
At the time of the incident, which police say occured on March 25th, Lincata was unable to be identified. Last Thursday, April 12th, he was observed returning to the store at which point he was identified and arrested.
Lincata is charged with Stalking 4th-degree and was issued an appearance ticket for Saint Johnsville Town Court.
