PITTSFIELD, MA - The Pittsfield Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian that happened in Pittsfield on Wednesday morning.
The accident happened at the intersection of North Street and Orchard Street at 11:52 a.m. Wednesday.
Police say the victim, 47-year-old Edward Winchell, was transported by ambulance to the Berkshire Medical Center after the incident.
According to reports, it's possible that a gray van was involved. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident to call them at (413) 448-9700 ext 409.
