AMSTERDAM, N.Y. - Police in Amsterdam have made an arrest in connection with a home invasion robbery that occurred in October of last year.
On October 28, 2011, the Amsterdam Police Department responded to a home on East Main Street for the report of a home invasion in which two suspects forced their way into the home, displaying what appeared to be a handgun.
The male and female victim told police the suspects stole an unknown amount of cash and a laptop computer from their home.
The male victim alleges he was pistol whipped and suffered minor injuries during the incident.
On March 13th, police say they arrested 30-year-old Ivan Ramos, of Amsterdam, on a warrant and charged him with Burglary 1st and Robbery 1st, both felonies. Ramos has been remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
