$25,000 reward offered for suspect info in Albany Med mercury case


ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany Medical Center is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading directly to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for planting mercury in the hospital's cafeteria on Friday, March 2nd.

A cafeteria located inside of the hospital, Choices Café, was closed after an employee found mercury in their food. Officials responded to the incident immediately to investigate. It was reopened later that night.

Anyone with information about any individual involved in this incident should call the APD Detective Division at 462-8039.  

The incident is being investigated by the APD along with assistance from the New York State police and the FBI.
