SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Schenectady Police Department says they have made an arrest in connection with a stabbing that occurred earlier this month at the corner of South Church Street and State Street.

Police arrested 36-year-old Stacy Camlin, of 13 State Street, after he was located in Albany in connection with the March 19th stabbing of a city resident.

Officers say when they arrived at the scene they found the victim stabbed twice in the lower abdomen after receiving reports of two men physically fighting.

Camlin is charged with Attempted Murder 2nd-degree, a felony, and Menacing 2nd-degree, a misdemeanor. He is being held at the Schenectady Police Station pending his arraignment on Monday.
