ALBANY, NY - A second suspect is arrested in the gang assault of a 61-year-old Albany man on Sunday afternoon.

Nasir Stratton, 21, was arrested Sunday night and charged with Gang Assault in the 2nd Degree.

On Thursday, 26-year-old Oliajuwon Timmons, of Wellington Avenue, turned himself into police. Timmons, who is on federal probation, was charged with Gang Assault in the 2nd Degree and arraigned in Albany City Court. He was remanded to Albany County Jail.

The incident happened on Sunday afternoon at 148 Clinton Street. Police say the victim, Havie Everett, was hospitalized with multiple skull fractures and bleeding on the brain. The assault happened after witnesses say Everett tried to stop Stratton and three other men from selling drugs outside Everett's brothers apartment.

Everett was transported to Albany Medical Center where it was determined he sustained two broken orbital sockets, multiple skull fractures, a broken jaw and bleeding on the brain. He is currently in serious condition and under sedation. His injuries are not considered life threatening at this time.
