Justin Vannostrand
GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. - A Fulton County man has been charged with manslaughter Thursday in a motor vehicle crash that killed one and seriously injured another last year.
Fulton County District Attorney Louise Sira says that after an investigation 20-year-old Justin VanNostrand, of Gloversville, is charged with Manslaughter 2nd, a felony, and other charges related to his role in causing the death of 19-year-old Christopher Insogna and seriously injuring his sister 17-year-old Kelsey Insogna following the December 2011 crash.
Sira calls the crash that occurred at the intersection of Route 29 and Steele Avenue in Johnstown "senseless and tragic." Kelsey continues to work through her recovery and is making slow, but steady progress.
VanNostrand has been remanded to the Fulton County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail, $20,000 bond.
