ALBANY, NY - Albany police have broken up six house parties since November which resulted in the hosts getting arrested for providing alcohol to underage people.
Recently police arrested two people for separate incidents involving underage drinking.
Early Sunday morning police arrested 24-year-old Yeaton Williams. Police were called to his 547 Washington Avenue apartment for reports of a fight. When officers arrived, there was about 300 people inside the apartment. During the investigation officers found several people drinking underage, some as young as 15-years-old.
Police say Williams apparently had advertised the party on Facebook and was charging money to get inside. Williams was charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the First Degree. He was arraigned in Albany City Court Sunday morning.
Prior to Sunday's incident, police arrested 20-year-old Adam Biron on February 26 for underage drinking.
Biron, of 535 Washington Avenue, hosted a party where several underage people were found drinking. Police were called to the apartment for noise complaints that could be heard two blocks away.
Biron was charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the First Degree and Unnecessary and Unusual Noise under the General City Ordinance. He was arrested and arraigned in Albany City Court.
