ROTTERDAM, N.Y. - Residents against a proposal to build a new CVS store on a residential street are breathing a sigh of relief. The town's planning board voted against the measure.
In a town meeting, CVS reps said they planned to close two Rotterdam CVS stores, and open a new store on the corner of Lawndale & Curry. The board voted that the high traffic caused by a new big box drug store in such an area would be too dangerous, and struck down the proposal in a 6 to 1 vote.
