Technical Media Operator / Technical Director

Newly rebuilt upstate New York television station has an opening for a TD/ Technical Media Specialist to direct our Ross automated newscasts, ingest syndicated programming and commercials into the on air servers and operate Crispin/Omneon MCR automation systems.

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge:

Skills must include the ability to direct and operate all live news equipment involved with the production of newscasts.

Ability to read television programming logs.

Television broadcast experience, news automation or MCR Automations experience is preferred.

Automation training is available to the qualified individual.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct and code live newscasts with Ross Overdrive.

Work with News Department in newscast pre-planning.

Ingest and segment programming and commercials into Omneon servers.

Load and check daily programming log in Crispin MCR automation. 

Create and edit daily topical's and ID's.

Oversee the automated tuning of satellite feeds for both programming and news.
