SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Schenectady Police Department has a large
quantity of property that is believed to be the proceeds of burglaries and
larcenies from cars, and they are attempting to identify the owners.
Police say the items were recovered from within
the City of Schenectady, and they have arrested the individual believed to be responsible for the burglaries.
The property recovered includes:
- Jewelry
including rings, earrings, bracelets, broaches, cameos, necklaces and cufflinks,
- US
and Foreign currency,
- Several
cell phones,
- Personal
photos,
- A
football card in a protective case,
- A
designer watch.
Some of these items are very
distinctive and may have been taken in crimes committed in surrounding
jurisdictions.
Media is not allowed photos of the property in an attempt to prevent false claims. Anyone with information is encouraged to call
the Detective Division at 382-5245.
