Two die in North Adams car accident


NORTH ADAMS, MA - Two people have died in a North Adams car accident.

At approximately 2:42 a.m. on Sunday a police officer was on patrol in the area of Canal Street and discovered a portion of a fence between the Crystal Hard Hat and Eagle Street intersection was knocked down. The officer then discovered a red 2002 GMC Sierra on it's roof in the flood control chute.

The North Adams Police units, North Adams Fire, and North Adams Ambulance were called to the scene.

Christopher Stanley, 28, of Clarksburg, and passenger Chad Miller, 31, of North Adams, were both in the vehicle and pronounced dead.

The accident is currently under investigation.
