RENSSELAER, NY - On Saturday RPI hosted Exploring Engineering Day to spark kids' interest in science and engineering.
RPI set up hands-on experiments and activities designed to show the visiting future scientists how fun science can be. This is the tenth year RPI has hosted the event.
University students led kids through workshops in robotics, radical radiation, and "slime time." Students were able to get their hands gooey while understanding the importance of science in their education.
Kids at the demo came from public, private, home schools, and scout groups.
