SARATOGA, N.Y. – An investigation is ongoing after a motorist was involved in a fatal accident in the Town of Halfmoon.
At Approximately 9:18 p.m. on Johnson Road in Halfmoon, Travis Taylor, 18 of Mechanicville, was operating a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier westbound when he lost control, leaving the roadway and striking a telephone pole.
When paramedics arrived, Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers in the vehicle were injured, David Funaro, 18 of Halfmoon, was transported by John Ahearn Rescue Squad and Nicholas Vaillancourt, 18 of Mechanicville, was flown by Life Net 71.
Both victims were taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment and are expected to recover.
Hillcrest Fire Department was also there assisting at the scene.
