NEW YORK - Wednesday night will feature "Jimmer Mania" versus "Linsanity" at Madison Square Garden.
Local basketball star, Jimmer Fredette, and the Sacremento Kings are taking on the latest and greatest hoops star Jeremy Lin and the New York Knicks at MSG Wednesday night.
Hudrends of local Jimmer fans are heading down to the game Wednesday to see the Glens Falls native play. New York City is the closest to his home town Jimmer has played since joining the Kings.
Vans left Glens Falls High School on Wednesday with Jimmer fans including Glens Falls Athletic Director Chip Corlew, Assistant Coach Rob Girard, and some local players.
There is no word if Jimmer will get any play-time, though. Tuesday night, he did not play in the game against the Chicago Bulls because he was sick.
The Knick's new star player Lin, a point guard from Harvard, has come out of nowhere to lead the team on a winning streak and he's captured widespread public attention.
The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
