Nassau man arrested after road rage incident

Posted:

COLUMBIA, NY - A Nassau man is arrested on alcohol and drug related charges after a road rage incident.

State police say Timothy Laraway was driving on Route 20 in Columbia County over the weekend when he passed a driver. He then used his truck to block the road, preventing the other car from getting by. Laraway then went up to the driver of the other vehicle and accused him of using his car's high beam lights, and tried choking him through the window.

When Laraway tried to get away in his truck he crashed into a pole, and when police tried to arrest him, he punched a trooper.

Laraway is now being held in Colombia County jail on $2,500 bail.
