PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Three men facing murder charges in connection with the stabbing death of a former high school basketball star in the parking lot of a Pittsfield restaurant are headed to trial in April.
The Berkshire Eagle reports that a judge ruled Wednesday that John Spratling of Pittsfield; Allen McGraw of Kingston, N.Y.; and Terrance Brown Springfield, will go to trial together on April 30. All three have pleaded not guilty to being involved in the March 2010 slaying of Jahda Martin.
Authorities say Martin was stabbed in the parking lot of a Burger King after leaving a nearby club. No motive has been disclosed.
Two other men charged in the death will face trial separately.
Martin was a star basketball player at Lee High School who went on to play in college.
