Loudonville man dies in car crash

Posted: Updated:

COLONIE, NY - A Loudonville man has died on impact in a car accident Saturday evening.

According to Colonie Police, 22-year-old Christopher Miller, of Loudonville, has died after the vehicle he was operating went off the roadway and struck a tree on Old Niskayuna Road near Hills Road at about 8:25 pm.

The force of the crash caused Miller's BMW Sedan to split into two and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Miller was the only one occupying the vehicle at the time of the accident and the crash is still being investigated by members of the Colonie Police Traffic Safety Unit.

However a preliminary cause appears that speed was a factor in the crash.

Anyone with information about this accident is asked to call the Colonie Police Department at 518-783-2744.
