ALBANY, NY - Albany police are investigating an armed robbery at the Sunoco gas station on Washington Avenue on Monday evening.
Police say at approximately 10:45 p.m. a suspect walked into the store and approached two clerks behind the counter. The male suspect pulled out a handgun, pushed one of the clerks to the ground, and demanded the other clerk take money out of the register and put it into a duffle bag he had brought with him.
The suspect excited the front door and was last seen running east on Washington Avenue. A K-9 performed a track which ended in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Buell Street.
The suspect was wearing all black clothing, black gloves, and a black ski mask.
No one was injured in the incident.
