ALBANY, N.Y. - U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer (D-Giants) and New Hampshire's Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-Patriots) has wagered cases of their home-state craft brews for the Super Bowl this year.
Tuesday, Schumer placed a friendly wager with his colleague from New Hampshire, Senator Jeanne Shaheen over the Super Bowl between the Giants and the Patriots.
Schumer wagered beer from six of New York's finest craft breweries: Brown's Brewing Company, Brooklyn Brewery, Blue Point Brewing Company, Saranac Matt Brewing Company, Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, and Ithaca Beer Company.
If the Giants beat the Patriots, Shaheen will purchase beer from six of New York's finest craft breweries, one beer for each member of the Senate. If the Patriots beat the Giants, Schumer will purchase beer from New Hampshire's Smuttynose brewery and supply it to the entire U.S. Senate.
