ALBANY, NY - The Albany Common Council is expected to vote in February on the controversial parking permit system.
A task force has been meeting for over a year to create a system that better accommodates parking for downtown residents. An annual permit will cost a resident $25.00. Cars without permits would be limited to park for two hours between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on weekdays.
The task force is still putting the final touches on which streets would be affected.
A vote is expected either on February 6th or 23rd.
