
Robert EvensPALATINE, N.Y. - A Level 2 Sex Offender in Montgomery County was arrested on Thursday after an investigation showed he was in possession of child pornography.
46-year-old Robert Evens, of 93 East Grand Street Room 132 in Palatine Bridge, was arrested on Thursday after Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Deputies say they responded to a complaint from an acquaintance of Evens who had allegedly seen what he believed to be child pornography on his cell phone.
Investigators looked into the accusation, and found Evens to be in possession of numerous images of child pornography. He was arrested for Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail.
Evens is a Level 2 Sex Offender based on a 1996 conviction for 1st-degree Rape.
Charges for 52-year-old Shane Morehouse, of Fort Edward, were upgraded on Wednesday to Aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony under Buster's Law. More>>
