Catskill snow emergency plan in effect

CATSKILL, N.Y. - Due to the forecast of snow, the Village of Catskill will initiate a snow emergency plan on Friday, January 20 starting at 8:00 p.m.

All vehicles should be parked on the odd side of the street from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. then on the even side of the street from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Vehicles should continue to switch sides every 12 hours until the snow emergency has been cancelled. Parking enforcement will remain in effect for a period of 72 hours for cleanup purposes.

Also, effective Friday at 7:00 p.m., there will be no parking on Main Street from Greene Street to Summit Ave. to ensure Main Street is one of the first streets to be cleared.

Violators will be ticketed and towed.
