ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The Adirondack Park Agency is set to vote on a permit for a proposed 6,200-acre, year-round resort and residential development in Tupper Lake. The largest project ever reviewed by the APA would rebuild the Big Tupper ski area, build a new marina on Big Tupper Lake, and construct housing in the area, about 80 miles from the Canadian border.
The developers have proposed 206 single-family and 125 multiple-family dwellings with 453 units, as well as an inn with 20 rooms, 20 two-bedroom suites and 15 new single-family Great Camps on 20- to 30-acre lots.
The agency is to vote Friday after two days of discussing details and revisions in the draft permit for the Adirondack Club and Resort project, first proposed six years ago.
