HUNTER, N.Y. - An employee of Hunter Mountain Ski Resort accidentally died Wednesday morning after sliding down a steep embankment while working, police say.
The New York State Police at Catskill say around 8:50 a.m. 41-year-old Brian Mattice, of Gilboa, was working with snow making equipment alongside
the "Milky Way" ski trail at Hunter Mountain when he slipped on ice and slid off the edge of the
trail, sliding approximately 200 feet down a steep embankment striking a rock
and a tree.
