EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. – A local missing teenager has finally returned home to her family.
Hannah Smith, 16, of East Greenbush had been reported missing since the first of January when she was last seen at her home around 1:00 a.m. It was believed Smith may have been in route to either New York City or New Jersey.
East Greenbush Police Department had developed and provided information which resulted troopers to believe the missing youth was possibly on the Thruway.
It wasn't until late Saturday evening, two weeks after Hannah had been reported missing, that she was finally located after a NYS Trooper stopped a car on the Thruway that she was in.
Monitoring the exits helped to locate the missing girl at exit 23 in the city of Albany.
She is now safe and with her family at their East Greenbush home.
