RUTLAND, Vt. (NEWS10) -- Many Vermonters will see their electricity bill go up in 2012. Starting Monday, Central Vermont Public Service is hiking their rates by almost 5-percent.
The increase means a residential customer who uses about 500 kilowatts of electricity a month will see their bills go up by about $4 for that period.
New York maple syrup production increased 59 percent from last year with only Vermont producing more syrup than New York.
