GLENS FALLS, N.Y. - Hometown favorite and Glens Falls High School graduate, Jimmer Fredette, made his official NBA debut with the Sacramento Kings Monday night.
Fredette and the Kings took on the Los Angeles Lakers, winning 100 to 91. Fredette scored six points and had three assists.
Jimmer Fredette has certainly become a household name, not only because
he has made the NBA, but because he still keeps his home town close to
heart, and is called a role model by many in the Capital Region.
Many people came out to sports bars around the Capital Region to watch Fredette play in the first of many NBA games. NEWS10 was at Fitzgerald's Steak House along Route 9 in South Glens Falls to get a taste of Jimmermainia.
"It brings the whole town together," one viewer told NEWS10. "I think a lot of people are going to love watching the NBA this year."
